I am so bad!

(looking at stars)

Well, lets see it's been more than a month since I have posted on this blog. I have been a busy/sleepy/sick/life momma! Yes, my kids have done wonderfully funny things and cute things since then, I just have been so bad about writing on here. So onto cute and wonderful and brilliant things like my children!

The other day I was folding laundry and Kyle saw a pair of pink underwear that belong to Makenna. I had the windows open because it was one of our gorgeous January days...oh and then he decided that he would yell out the window to anyone that was listening, it went like this...
"hello out there!!! Makenna has pink underwear!!" Of course Makenna got mad and proceeded to "get" her little brother, and because I was laughing so hard Kyle felt the need to do it repeatedly. Oh you can imagine how unhappy Mak was. So she in return was yelling out the window that Kyle had Batman underwear. It was an interesting time, I had to finally threaten them to get their little behinds away from the window and KNOCK IT OFF!!!!

Oh and then we have little Caleb, who has decided that he would like to start "attempting" to talk now. So for puppy he says "pee pee" and has mastered baby, so instead of it sounding like bubba it now actually sounds like ba-by. There is a ton of other words he is saying now, but of course I can't think of anything right now. Hmmmm. Caleb is such a joy and he loves his big brother and sister like crazy, he copies everything he does and is always hanging with them around the house. I guess because Kyle knows all the good things to get into :)

Makenna just got her report card last Friday and of course straight A's again. She is soooo smart and I love how she loves to learn. I don't expect anything less from her. She was lucky and had a bad weather day from school yesterday and we did absolutely nothing. watched movies all day.

Well for now that is about all I have time to write about. I won't let it go this long anymore I PROMISE!!!

Happy 5th birthday to my sweet boy Kyle

This is a day late, but only because I was super busy yesterday with a photo shoot. But I wanted to take this blog and make it all about Kyle since he is the birthday boy.

Well, it doesn't seem real to me that Kyle is 5. Where did the time go? I remember the day he was born. It was December 8, 2003, I was scheduled to be induced. So I was suppose to be at the hospital at 7am. Well we were running a little late because we had to drop Makenna off at daycare because that was her last day there, and we needed somewhere for her to stay while I was busy with labor. I think we got to the hospital about 7:45 actually, but it was no problem. I got into my room, got the IV started and my water broke, and along came contractions. My Dr. thought I might actually move along rather quickly with this being my 2nd baby. But know he was not born until 5:10pm and I just remember having the best labor and delivery. I could honestly say it was a breeze thanks to my epidural. Steven and laughed and cut up with my Dr. and the nurses in between pushing and before we knew it, we had ourselves a brand new baby boy. He was 8 lbs 9oz and 20 1/2 inches long. He was perfect. Steven named him Kyle, it means handsome (and boy is he ever) and I named him James after my dad. I love his name and it fits him so perfectly.

Kyle has been such a blessing in my life! I love him more than words can ever describe. He is my first born son, and he has such a sweet, sweet heart. He loves people, and everyone loves him back. Everyone always tells me how sweet he is, and he truly, truly is. He loves his big sister and baby brother like crazy and is so giving. Whenever Caleb wants the toy that he is playing with he will give it to him so that he won't scream or cry for it. He often times will go and play in his room by himself to get away from Caleb because Caleb always takes his toys away. Oh and just the other day, my dad watched all 3 for me. He was going to take them to eat, so he asked Makenna and Kyle where they wanted to go. Kyle said CiCi's, and Makenna said McDonald's. Of course they both said two different places, but when Makenna pointed out that CiCi's didn't have a playground, Kyle quickly said,"Okay, we can go to McDonald's, but only because I love her." I love that. See, I told you he was sweet! Right now, he is still a ninja. I think I am going to have to put the boy in karate! Words really can't describe how I feel about this little boy, he loves Jesus, music, playing music, super heroes, ninjas, sports, ME and his DADDY, his family, his grandparents, his friends, he just loves.
So here's to another wonderful year ahead my sweet boy!

The Kids Fall Pictures take 1

Good Morning Everyone! Today's blog will be all about pictures. But I must say that I had planned all week on taking pictures yesterday, about 10 or 11 it was about 70 degrees out and windy. I thought well, it is such a pretty day and Makenna is getting out of school early today might as well take advantage of that! Well, by the time I had been home for a couple hours getting the kids ready and waiting while Caleb had his nap the temperature outside was dropping and the wind was increasing. So, when we left the temp had dropped down to 57, WHAT?!?! I thought oh great, how am I going to take pictures now? But I am obsessed and went anyway:) honestly because I didn't think it was as bad as it was. It was FREEZING!!!! I did however manage to get a few good pictures. I plan on returning this weekend for for round 2 to get the shots that I wanted but was unable to get due to my kids freezing their little hiney's off! So here are the few that I did get....enjoy my precious beautiful children!

cool shoes

Well I guess alot of these will be about Kyle because he is with me all day. But today I had a few errands to run so I was getting the boys dressed, and as I was putting Kyle's shoes on he was laying down on the couch. After I was done with him, Caleb climbed up on the couch in the exact same spot that Kyle was laying on and stuck his feet in the air. It was so cute. I said to Kyle, "see...Caleb wants to do everything that you do because he thinks you are cool." Of course Kyle responds with,"I know" and then he proceeds to tell me that Caleb thinks that he is cool because he wants cool shoes. I cracked up....it's like I wish I could spend one hour in their brain because an hour would be all I needed...whew they are so busy!

Then Miss Makenna, tells me that she wrote a two page report on space, I thought...hmmm okay, this should be interesting. Well, her report came strictly from these little cards that the kids got in their Chik fil A kids meal. She had pretty much copied word for word 2 pages worth of facts about the moon and space. Although she has no concept right now of plagiarizing. I thought it was pretty neat that she is already interested in writing a report on her own might I add! She never ceases to amaze with her incredible love of learning. That might sound funny but she actually likes to do school work. She loves to read. Most every night I have to go into her room after she has been in bed for at least 30 minutes and tell her to put the book away. Although the lights are out, the hall light is on and to her that is all she needs. I keep telling her that reading in the dark will hurt her eyes but, night after night she still does it. She is so special, and God has truly blessed me with her. She is bound for great things and I can't wait to see what they are. Makenna is my helper, my little best friend and I am now starting to see that she looks like me. Oh I could never see it before but the other night I took a picture of the two of us on my cell phone, that was first time that I could actually see that she looks like me. I love it. She is beautiful, and every part of her is beautiful. She has many nicknames from me, all of them she gets embarrassed but secretly likes them. She has my goofiness, and Stevens smarts, and so much more in between. I love her to pieces and am so blessed to God chose me to be Makenna, Kyle and Caleb's mom.
(don't laugh...this is the pic I was telling you about....I think we were both blinking half way through)

Well, today I am going to take their pictures. I will post some here later on today! I can't wait!

Just the daily blurb....

Well, today was an interesting day. I am so glad that Steven was off work today because we had to get the starter on our Tahoe replaced. It has been sticking for a little while now so we figured we better get it taken care of sooner than later. So while our car was in the shop we headed over to Sam's to do a little grocery shopping. Fun times! Oh I also got my Christmas present early today. Steven can never keep a secret from me! I got the Blackberry Curve! So far loving it! It's pretty too, it's red! We happen to get a great deal on it so yay for us! Now if I could just figure out what to get my hubby for Christmas. There is this guitar that he really wants but it's kind of expensive, so we may have to wait on that.

Other than that, Makenna and Caleb have been sick with a cough. They don't seem like they feel bad, it's just a cough. Maybe if I can get the 2 boys hair cut tomorrow then I will able to take their Christmas pictures on Wednesday because Makenna gets out of school at 12:15, so that would be perfect....anyone know the weather for Wednesday yet? Well, off to get my little ones to bed, and then to play with my new phone! yay! love you all!

Kyle the Ninja!

Well, I wanted to start this blog as a way to record what amazingly cute and funny things my 3 wonderful children do and say, and as a way to keep my family updated since by the time I see them all or talk to them I will have forgotten. So here we go.

I have to talk about Kyle first because his latest funniest moment is really fresh on my mind. I think I have made the mistake of letting him watch movies or cartoons that have fighting like karate, and power ranger stuff. The other day I let him watch a movie on demand called 3 ninjas. I thought oh no big deal it's about 3 kids. Well ever since my precious little Kyle has watched that movie, he thinks he is a ninja. So much so that he even walks around the house saying,"ha-ya!!" over and over. He even tries to work all of his moves out on his sister Makenna. She just loves it let me tell ya! NOT!!!! The other day after picking up Makenna from school, we got home and Kyle told her that he had been in ninja training ALL day! That was the funniest thing ever Kyle was so serious when he told her!

Oh and then there are the times when Kyle thinks he is a teenager and he walks around with this strut, that is so hilarious. Something about that just rubs Makenna the wrong way because she will come running to me and say, "Mooooom! Kyle thinks he is so cool, he is walking around like he is so cool" and if you know Kyle then you know that he is very cool! So, I tell Makenna that he is cool, and that he is the coolest 4 year old almost 5 year old that I know, and Kyle will get this smile on his face like "see, I am really that cool" it's so great! I love it! I love the different personalities of all 3 of them. Makenna, Kyle and Caleb. they are such joys, and I am so in love with them. We will see what the rest of the night holds!
